An auto-manufacturer estimates that its newest economy car will travel 312 highway miles on one tank of gas. If the economy car's gas tank holds 12 gallons, how far can a driver expect to travel on 10 gallons?

OpenStudy (bibby):

What you want to do is find out how much the car is managing on 1 gallon of gas. To do that you divide the total (312) by the gallons (12) You'd get that the car gets 26 miles/gallon. Then you can multiply by 10 gallons.|dw:1382755651444:dw|
