3:00 pm means after 2 hours..
so you i will assume that you know the formula for speed which is v=d/t, we will solve for d(distance) so the formula will  be $d=vt$.
first calculate for the distance traveled of the plane traveling directly north at 150 mph
it's distance after two hours will be: $d=(150)( 2)$
do this also for the other plane..
then to find the distance between them, use the Pythagorean theorem to find the distance.
