Trigonometry 8 Online
OpenStudy (artemisxrpg):

verify that each equation is an identity

OpenStudy (artemisxrpg):

tan(\[\theta-45degree\])+(\[\theta+45degree\])

OpenStudy (artemisxrpg):

Using the special triangle rule, tan45 is 1. So I got tan(\[[(\tan \theta-1)/1+\tan \theta] + [(\tan \theta+1)/1-\tan \theta]\]

OpenStudy (artemisxrpg):

to get lcd cross multiply so that would be: \[](\tan \theta-1)(1+\tan \theta) + (\tan \theta+1)(1-\tan \theta)]/(1-\tan \theta)(1+\tan \theta)\]

hartnn (hartnn):

where is the equation ? what you posted is an expression...

OpenStudy (artemisxrpg):

\[\tan(\theta-45°)+\tan(\theta+45°) = 2\tan2\theta \]

hartnn (hartnn):

did u cross multiply correctly ?

hartnn (hartnn):

no, i guess not...

hartnn (hartnn):

|dw:1382772529305:dw| t = tan theta
