Hello One funny question: how can one install python 2.6.x versions on Windows? :S :S :S

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Which version of windows? http://www.python.org/download/ Most people use the latest 2.x for many classes, but if you really need 2.6.x, here was the latest binary installer: http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.6.6/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hm I think this is the lates 2.6.x serie http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.6.8/ and I also think you should use 2.7.x because most of people use that and most of applications is written in that version and you also should read docs for 3.x series because eventually all apps will be ported to it :)

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yes, the latest 2.6.x is 2.6.8, but you would have to buld it for Windows. 2.6.6 is already built.

Thanks for replies. I am using 2.7.5 now and checking out the differences in 3.3.x. Would rather work int hat one but ok. :)
