Study Island question.. need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be by SSS?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why do you think it is SSS ? you know only about two sides of each triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you see they have common angle.. it is a good thing to start with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

WAIT it would be SAS. Because they share both sides.. TUD is inside SUY, so they share both sides. They don't share the same base, but they do both share U at the top. Would that make it SAS? @Coolsector

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Definition for SAS: Triangles are similar if two sides in one triangle are in the same proportion to the corresponding sides in the other, and the included angle are equal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the angle is between the two sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is SAS but read the definition. it is not because the sharing sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

included angle and proportional sides.. that makes it SAS
