MAKE NUMERICAL EXPRESSION 15 LESS THAN ONE- NINTH OF P

zepdrix (zepdrix):

This one is a little tricky because we don't want to write the expression based on the way it's written in the sentence. It would almost make more sense to read it like this, `one-ninth of P`, `15 less than that`

zepdrix (zepdrix):

So let's start with the `one-ninth of P` Can you think of a way to write that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/9P

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Yes good good :)\[\Large \frac{1}{9}P\]To deal with the other part, `15 less than that` means to `subtract` 15 from what we've established so far. So how would you write that? :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I REALLY LIKE HOW YOU ARE TEACHING ME HOW TO DO IT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/9P=15

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Hmm you wrote an `equals` sign, was that just a typo?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

@angie44 Did you mean to write 1/9P-15 ? That would have been correct.
