OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are reactants in the following chemical formula c6h12o6 + 6o2 = 6co2 + 6h2o

OpenStudy (aakashsudhakar):

The reactants are the chemical constituents that exist before the chemical reaction to REACT; and the products are the chemical constituents that exist after the chemical reaction that are PRODUCED. Therefore in the chemical reaction... \[C6H12O6 + 6O2 ---> 6CO2 + 6H2O\] The reactants would be the C6H12O6 and the 6O2 molecules, otherwise known as a glucose (sugar monosaccharide) molecule and six (6) molecules of oxygen gas.

The reactants are glucose and oxygen.
