OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (zale101):

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

wtf ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What in the heck are you saying? Because I really do not want to have to go to google translate right now .-.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (zale101):

this language is Russian

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know wasn't my comment in russian?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

because there is so many people

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks :( Now I have to use Google translate :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can never tell if someone actually knows Russian...

OpenStudy (zale101):

good question @Yetter

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

French sounds better...it sounds so romantic...you could be cussing somebody out in French and they wouldn't even know it...lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol @texaschic101

OpenStudy (zale101):

there's a lot of religion because people love making law on their own way, the way they feel comfortable with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

that just looks weird

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Indeed you can't Yetter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Especially now that we have so many, it is almost impossible it will become popular or well used!

OpenStudy (zale101):

and every religion is different from the other. Let's say the Greek and the Egyptian mythology, these people used to see demons with sort of supernatural powers and claimed them as gods. In monotheism religions, they have similar religion but yet have a different prophet idol and theme. They believe in demons or "jinns", and that's what i believe in.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (zale101):

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I am feeling dyslexic

OpenStudy (anonymous):

точно

OpenStudy (zale101):

too clarify more on why there's diversity between religions, if you look at all the religions you'll notice they follow the similar theme

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know me too!!! texaschic101

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (zale101):

as for, why there's many languages in the world, well once people isolate from each other and form a new community, things began to change. Their language, culture, and sometimes they'll create their own traditions.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

nicely said Zale :)

OpenStudy (zale101):

but currently, you'll see less diversity of languages because of the growth of techonology and communication

OpenStudy (zale101):

and those who still hold on to their tradition and old language will start to fade :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (zale101):

will u speak english xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What would be the advantage of learning every language?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To be able to speak to everyone! (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you could talk to anyone!!!

OpenStudy (zale101):

well, the advantage of learning new languages is that there's not much advantage of it. But what i think it's advantage is that you'll understand others who their culture differ from you.

OpenStudy (zale101):

which i think it's interesting

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I there ever a true translation between languages? I mean so much is usually lost or jumbled up.

OpenStudy (zale101):

cuz every culture has something unique in them, and maybe they'll have something new and informative that we have not thought of it before

OpenStudy (zale101):

or that our culutre failed to understand

OpenStudy (zale101):

culture*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can one of you help me ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would you say that the best way to learn another culture would be to learn their language first?

OpenStudy (zale101):

i'm currently studying anthropology and i think it's an interested field

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (zale101):

mmm, not quite important but if u want to go depth in a certain culture u might as well want to learn its language first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok true but it is kinda

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But trying to learn another's culture with out speaking their language would be like trying to explain color to a blind person.

OpenStudy (zale101):

let's say u want to study about Islam, and you want t learn more about it. I suggest you to know its language first, because sometimes Islam is criticized inaccurately because of terrorism. So, learning about it realistically is by knowing its language first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So if I truly want to learn another's culture it would be a good idea to learn their language?

OpenStudy (zale101):

trying to explain color to a blind person that's a good way to put it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks.

OpenStudy (zale101):

yeah, if you want to go in-depth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, You have answered all of my questions. Thank you very much!
