Okay it is telling you to find what f(x) is when x is g(x) So you first solve for g(x) and get 9+3 which is 12, then substitute the 12 in for f(x) and get 24-48-3 and get -27, is -27 one of your answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. -6 b. 3 c. 6 d. 9

Oh shoot I did something wrong, let me re try lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay I will do it gaina.... x+3/4 is 9+3 over 4 and that equals 3, so substitute 3 into the first equation and get 3 to the power of 2 - 4(3) -3 so the answer is -6

That is assuming the x2 is saying x to the power of 2 but im ot sure what its suppiosed to say

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yupp. It's to the power of 2. Didn't realize that that didn't show up!

work from the inside out :)

What about this one, Loopki? Find the average rate of change for the given function from x = -1 to x = 2.

same rules

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Basically just find the slope which is 2/1 or 2

To which graph does the point (-1, -4) belong? a. y ≤ -x + 4 b. y ≤ -x - 5 c. y ≤ 2x - 3 d. y ≤ 5x + 1 How in the world do I do that??
