I think so. It is written by Tolkien. He wrote The Lord of the Rings. Led Zeppelin wrote several songs about it. It was very big in the sixties. Well, 2000s also cause of the movies.

"The Hobbit" is definitely good literature, it teaches you a lot about morals and how to live life. Plus, its grammar and wording are a huge benefit if you can understand the methods used.
