Okay, you could do Ghana: read about their kingdom here http://www.ushistory.org/civ/7a.asp Geography, Religion, and Culture: http://www.factmonster.com/ipka/A0107584.html Read through some pages and just try to learn as much as you can about them. Using your voice as the narrator, let him tell about what you've learned of the kingdom and that should be a start to your oral report. Hope that helps.
ok I'll try it thank
You're welcome. : ) Just have to find good sources is all.
soo could you maybe go threw with me step by step ?
like the first one : dentify the civilization and your role in it as well as the time period
"ancient Ghana — which is more accurately called Wagadugu" So start with introducing your kingdom.. we know it was called Wagadugu more accurately. It says Ghana: "By 1000 B.C.E., had undergone strategic expansion and taken control of a large pocket of land between the upper Niger and Senegal Rivers. The region was rich in gold, and its acquisition meant that Ghana would become a leading force in the trans-Saharan trade network." .. So we know that was how it expanded and started to grow. Tell a little about how Ghana became a richer kingdom in your introduction. And on this website I linked you to: http://www.ushistory.org/civ/7a.asp scroll down to "Ghanaian Politics" and for your second paragraph, you can tell about their politics, and how their power probably led them to have a start in economy.
Then, for the third paragraph, you could get into the economy.. or if you would rather talk about what religious things they practiced in, or what their everyday lives consisted of, that might be easier. And your conclusion, did their kingdom decline, and what were the reasons the kingdom lost its power?? etc. Ta daaa Does that help lol
thanks so much :]
No problem : )
Ghana ----> Ghana is a kingdom built on trading salt and gold which means that they have lots of salt and gold and that also means that they are rich. Salt was very valuable. People needed it to flavor food, to preserve meat and to maintain good health so they used to trade a lot of salt. Ghana was just north of the rich gold fields. this is how Ghana became richer.
