Converse of $$ P\implies Q $$ is $$ Q\implies P $$ You have P="his shoes are clean" and Q=" he did not walk in the mud" So now, just interchange P and Q: P="he did not walk in the mud" and Q="his shoes are clean" Ans. If he did not walk in the mud then his shoes are clean.
