Trigonometry 18 Online
OpenStudy (deadshot):

Write the equation of the sine function with amplitude of 3, standard period, phase shift of 90°, and vertical shift of 2?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

y = A sin( Bx + C ) + D A = amplitude C = horizontal shift, or "phase" shift, C > 0, to the left, C < 0, to the right D = vertical shift, D > 0, up, D < 0, down

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

it doesn't state where the phase shift it'll be, since it's a cyclical function, I gather it doesn't make much difference graph wise so you can use a +C or -C value

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

sin(x) is already using "standard period", so you have to do nothing to it

OpenStudy (deadshot):

which one of these would it be?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well... why not just write your own :) you've been given enough info to do so

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

and then match it against it
