Hi I am in the process of taking my CF certification thru the CICA and would like to have some finance valuation questions and answers. Ideas anyone Thanks PB
Wait... So you don't have any questions in particular...but you want questions??
I. Am looking for short answer and multiple choice questions.
What sort of questions did you have in mind?
How about CFA-type questions?
Yes, CFA type questions would be awesome.
Ok, sure, but first you'll have to tell me a little more about the type of valuation methods you're learning (or would like to learn) and where you're coming from background-wise because obviously I neither want to insult your intelligence nor talk over your head. So here are a couple questions to at least get you thinking about both what you know (or don't know) as well as what you WANT to know (and which parts are totally irrelevant): *Can you calculate compound interest? *Can you calculate the present value of a cash-flow received in "n" years. *Can you calculate the present value of a perpetuity? *Can you calculate the present value/future value of an annuity? (And do you know how to derive those formulas?) *Can you value a plain-vanilla corporate bond? (And calculate accompanying measures such as Duration, Convexity, etc.) *What sort of DCF methods do you know? For instance, Gordon Growth Model, H-Model, etc. *Can you calculate the "Justified" price ratios (P/E, P/B, etc.) Also, can you calculate a company's wacc or equity beta? Do you care about learning things like CAPM, Option Pricing formulas, portfolio management, or risk management? Again, it's just a brief list to help get you thinking a little more narrowly about the type of questions you'd like to focus on. If you've checked everything off this list then that's ok, too--I'm sure I can come up with something right for you (just let me know).
I would like questions that address all of the items u have listed above. I am interested in expert, intermediate and junior level questions
But first, how many of the questions listed above can you answer? Because there is no point giving you expert level questions if you can't answer junior-level questions...
For instance, can you calculate compound interest?
Yes I can calculate compound interest. My plan is to start with the junior level questions as a refresher and then move to intermediate and expert level questions.
So which of the questions from my previous list are you positive you can compute?
Can you, for instance, calculate various types of annuities/perpetuities?
Thanks for ur help. I will look elsewhere for questions.
