what did women gain in World war 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

While they did make some societal gains during/after WWII, most of the actual political gains came after WWI where they had similar roles -- running the economy, that is. WWI spurred the 19th amendment (Women's suffrage). However, like the person above me said, they probably did gain some respect from WWII. They got more rights by working when the men were all gone fighting in the war. Also, some women served as nurses and it earned them recognition.

They got to actually work out of the house really
