There is a mining boom at the moment which is helping the economy. But what are you after? In a golden age in terms of what? Culture, Economics, Population etc. If it is just in general, i would disagree because Australia is not currently doing that much better than other first world countries.

well the mean of golden age to refer to a time of great achievements in a civilization. so if Australia has a lot of great achievements then yes
