x+y=3 -2x+3y=9 get x in the first equation alone so I have x=3-y I plug it in to the 2nd equation -2(3-y)+3y=9 distribute -6+2y+3y=9 then, -6+5y=9 add six to both sides and am left with 5y=15 divide both sides and get y=3 Plug y into x=3-y so x=3-3 so x=0?
