** I have read the story I PROMISE , I am not Trying to cheat . The story is about an honest man moving into a city where everyone robs everyone and when he was being honest more and more people decided to stop stealing and just pay the poor people to steal for them. I think the answer COULD be sarcastic voice but I am not positive .

A and D are kind of alike though because of the word THAT used in the sentences. But I do think its A because noun clauses can be used like nouns, so you could say
