I award medals :) Can you please tell me 2 binomials that equal x^2+20x+15 when multiplied together?

OpenStudy (kainui):

Well if you can factor this, you'll get one of the answers. Since when you square negative numbers, the negative sign goes away, you can simply multiply that answer by -1 to find the other one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

? how do you find binomials? I know (x+#)(x+#) will give me the answer but I can't find the right numbers. I will keep trying though.

OpenStudy (kainui):

Good, well do you know how to complete the square or use the quadratic formula? That will give you an answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I know how. But I have to set it = to 0 so like x^2+20x+15=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The instructions I found online said first you have to factor the trinomial and get 2 binomials. That is the step I am on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x+10)(x+10) doesn't work. neither does (x+1)(x+19) or (x+5)(x-3) or any of the other 10 I have tried

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nevermind. I am changing the function. Thanks for trying to help while you could
