Need help with this question ?!?!?!? What is the equation in standard form of a parabola that models the values in the table? x -2 0 4 f(x) 1 5 -59

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) = ax^2 + bx + c is the general formula plug in the above values into this formula then solve the resulting system of equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'll do the first one: (-2,1):- 1 = (-2)^2a + -2b + c 1 = 4a - 2b + c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you'll have 3 equations to solve for a,b and c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Soo all i have to do is plug in a number for each letter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug in a number for x and f(x) eg the next point (0,5) is x = 0, f(x) = 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh ok, i get it now :)
