hartnn (hartnn):

(x,y,z) = (1, 4, 5) means you go 1 unit in x direction 4 units in y direction 5 units in z direction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be d?

hartnn (hartnn):

which graph goes 1 unit in x direction ?

hartnn (hartnn):

no

hartnn (hartnn):

D goes opposite to x direction, so it it were x=-1, then D but here, x=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so C?

hartnn (hartnn):

yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay :) i dont really understand though. because its not negative, so why would the x direction be going down? i thought it was D cause its a positive number

hartnn (hartnn):

its not going down, its coming out of paper towards you. which is positive 'x' direction as per the axes selected.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh! okay. gotcha (:

hartnn (hartnn):

thats a 3 dimentional figure, it helps if you can imagine.

hartnn (hartnn):

good :)
