What is the theoretical probability that you draw a five-card hand with only black cards, given that you have a standard deck of cards? 52 cards in the deck. 4 suits: Hearts, Diamonds, Spades, Clubs. 13 cards per suit. Spades and Clubs are black, so there are 26 black cards in the deck.
well... if you draw only a "5" numbered cardfrom a pack of all black cards, so in that pack of all black cards, you are having two 5 numbered cards( I hope its obvious, as we hare having 13 cards per suit and number of black cards are 26 so there must be 2 suits that are black and hence two 5 numbered black cards). So the probability is 2/26 = 1/13.
Oh, I forgot to explain what is meant by five-card hand. My teacher told me that this means that if you draw five cards out of the entire deck of fifty two cards, what is the probability that you would get five cards that are all black.
So....your answer is correct for another question but not the question I'm asking. Thank you anyway!!! I really appreciate it.
