Would the coefficient of friction change if the mass changes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wouldn't it change because the Fn changes, which in turn causes the coefficient of friction to change? But i also read that the COF stays constant as it is a ratio between the two forces. I'm unsure please help!

OpenStudy (doc.brown):

No, the force of friction would.|dw:1382990811941:dw|
