undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

Which statement is true about the product sqrt 2(3 sqrt2 + sqrt14)?

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

lol hey!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What are the statements?

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

What do you mean?

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

It is rational and equal to 12. It is rational and equal to 18. It is irrational and equal to 6 + 2square root of 18. It is irrational and equal to 3 +square root of 18.

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

thats what i was forgeting lol...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so check this out: 2(3√2 + 4√14) = (2 * 3√2) + (2 * 4√14) which is : 6√2 + 8√14 divide both sides by 2: (6 + 2) + 8√7 = 16√7

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

which numbers do u divide???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, hold on. I think I did something wrong. Hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont know where that 4 came from. It hsould look like this: Okay so check this out: 2(3√2 + √14) = (2 * 3√2) + (2 * √14) which is : 6√2 + 2√14

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

so now i divide?

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

I chose the 3rd one...is that correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be C yeah,

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

another 5/10...

OpenStudy (anonymous):
