After that........ we will substitute y = -1 back into one of the equations to solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!!! help with 8??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean help with 8?? Sorry I dont understand (;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you mind helping with one more problem #8 before you depart LOL????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then I gotta get back to my hw (;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. Thanks!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8.) x+6y=2 5x+4y=36 9.) y=2x-1 3x-y=-1 10.) r+s=-12 4r-6s=12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

However many you feel comfortable helping me with out of those 3 would be greatly appreciated PLEASE and THANK YOU.. "any of them" would be appreciated

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For number 8 muliply x +6y=2 by -5 both sides, then add both eq's like before. X's will cancel then solve for y. Back substitute y you find into a formula and solve for x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For number 9 put the y eq. in for the y in the other eq. So 3x - (2x - 1) = -1 solve for x then back sub for y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Problem 9 is pretty much the same as 8 (;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hope that was helpful. Thats basically how these problems go.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANKS SO MUCH!!!! (;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have a nice evening whoever u may be. Appreciate the help.. (;
