please give me some oppositions and facts of support of why we should reduce U.S military presence in Latin America...

It's using too much money on the nations overall military budget and the US already has dozens of bases, especially Army, in Germany which wastes millions of dollars a year. The main reason for the US having any military action in Latin America of course started with the threatening regimes found all over South America, but have evolved to fight the "Drug War". In a way this benefits America and its people but not worth the amount of money being spent to supplement these missions and projects. If the US wants to make jobs in the military by having them fight against drug cartels, it's better off moving the troops to the Mexican-American border and along the Southern coast making sure no illegal immigrants, especially drug dealing ones, come unto US land.
