Does anyone know any differences of Egypt and Mayan Religious beliefs?

Both Mesoamericans and Egyptians built pyramids, though in different designs and purposes(Mesoamericans as religious temples and Egyptians as tombs). the Mesoamericans consisted many different cultures starting with Olmec in around 2000 BC and ending with the Aztecs in 1521 AD. The Egyptian culture was one of the first human civilizations starting around 3150 BC and the end of the new kingdom was around 1100 BC. The Ptolemaic empire, although Greek, considered themselves Egyptian and ruled from 332-30 BC when Egypt became a province of the Roman Republic. The many different cultures of Mesoamerica had different governments. Both Egyptians and Mesoamericans were very religious and priests were highly revered. Egyptians were ruled by a pharaoh, and developed hieroglyphics. Mesoamericans, specifically Mayans also developed hieroglyphics and are known for their extensive calendars and astronomical knowledge.

The Egyptians weren't as big into the whole eating hearts and human sacrifice stuff.

I never heard of an Egyptian cutting someone's heart out and eating it. I don't think they did human sacrifices, either. No certain
