Volcanic activities include tremors, earthquakes - and other other-rumbling events. It is possible, that with advancements in sonar, that we can predict and prepare for natural disasters associated with volcanoes, but being prepared and being unaffected are two totally parallel concepts.
OpenStudy (wolfe8):
No since natural disasters or mother nature can never be fully predicted by us. We can at most build models to study but the real world involves many more variables than we can account for.
