Marie bought two pieces of ribbon. One piece is 6 1/4 feet long and the other is 11 1/2 feet long what is the total length of the ribbon? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (bibby):

there are 12 inches to a foot. To get the total length you'd want to add up all of the pieces. You can add them as fractions (1/4+1/2=3/4) or you can convert them to inches

Bibby is right, you can add them as fractions.
