Given the function g(x) = −2x + 4, find g(−5). −6 4.5 6 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

g(-5) means you want the value of function g when x = -5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm thinking 14.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, thanks! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

welcome.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How about this: f(x) = 2x2 − 10, find f(5). 90 10 7.5 40 I'm thinking 10 for this one

@Easyaspi314

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(5) means to find the value of the function called f, at x = 5. How much is 2x^2 - 10 when x = 5? 2(5^2) - 10 2(25) - 10 50-10 = 40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Makes sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh I see, I did the first step wrong :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK.
