Can anyone hep me understand and give your opinion on if congress members should face term limits.

OpenStudy (kenljw):

Franklin D Roosevelt was elected president four times, after which an amendment was passed to limit a president to two terms. Apparently it was determined that the president has to much power and the terms have to be limited. The question is are there any other offices which have such power that it must limited? I think not because each State have their power and there must be consensuses between States.

Congress should face term limits because Congress will be more open-minded, able to understand the youth of the nation, be more attentive to the problems of today versus those of yesterday, and more technologically advanced, educated, and modernized.

OpenStudy (kenljw):

That is assuming the younger modern technical society is actually an improvement over the old. There was a time when a man actually had volumes of material in there head as a song in his head rather than earphones. Actually modern conveniences has made man more a slave to an artificial environment then they were to the natural one. Things like telepathy, which I have experienced, may be lost, possibly intentional, as man becomes more dependent on technology. The saying "wisdom comes with age" didn't come out of thin air.
