What are the potential impacts of climate change on Central America? A. increase rates of skin cancer on indigenous people B. intensify droughts and hurricanes in the region C. reduce access to good land for agriculture D. improve federal money for climate change research
Think of it this way - what is Central America's climate as of right now(for the most part)? And if that climate changed how would it affect them, what ways would it change lifestyles?
So it would have to be either A, or B? imma guessssss B?! you think?
or wait... C? I DONT KNOWWW!
Ha think about your choices carefully. A. increase rates of skin cancer on indigenous people - they live in the tropic zone - equatorial zone. the rates wouldn't necessarily increase, not to mention they've been living there for centuries- therefore becoming adapted. B. intensify droughts and hurricanes in the region - a climate change would affect the ocean's patterns (keep in mind) C. reduce access to good land for agriculture - kinda rides along with B D. improve federal money for climate change research- how would a climate change do that? If it were me i'd chose B or C. I will contemplate this for a few minutes.
I would go with B because a climate change would directly impact the ocean - the gulf mainly. Which in turn would hurt central america pretty hardcore. The only confusing part is droughts because when a hurricane comes, so does rain. I wouldn't choose C because it says merely for agricultural purposes and i don't see how the whether change would change land that fast. Although a natural disaster could, it doesn't say that though.
