Can someone please explain how to find the discontinuities of this function? Thanks! y = 1 / (2+e^(9/x))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you tried graphing it? It makes this easier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you have a graphing calculator, plug the equation and look on the table. See where you receive an error, it means there is a hole and there is where it is discontinuing

@Mateaus I was wondering if there was a way to do it without having a graph to look at but talking to a few folk in my class it doesn't seem like I'm going to have to know that at the moment.

Sorry for not being able to explain it without the calculator. I haven't touch this subject in a long time and I just remember the fastest way hehe.

@Mateaus No worries!
