I'm confused on how to answer these questions.. Which system has the greater thermal energy (enthalpy) overall? Which has the greater thermal energy per molecule? a) A swimming pool at 80 degrees or the Pacific Ocean at 33 degrees b) 1 L gaseous water at 1000 K or the entire universe at 5 K

Would it be the ocean and the universe?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

for the first question, yeah. Because they're much more massive and hold more energy as a whole.
