find the domain of the function...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[f(x)=\sqrt{3x-2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can ONLY take the square root of a number that is zero or graeter than zero. so you want 3x - 2 to be = to 0 or graeter than o. so solve the inequality 3x - 2 > or = to 0.

what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@meg_72 you got this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no lol i wasnt at school for this lesson and i dont have all the notes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

start with \[3x-2\geq 0\] add \(2\) and get \[3x\geq 2\] divide by \(3\) and get the domain as \[x\geq \frac{2}{3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay!! Thank you!!!
