You're at the airport. At your airport walking speed, you can walk 200 meter in 2.5 minutes. Walking at this speed, you step onto the moving walkway. It's 50 meters longs and moving at a speed of 2 m/s. How longs iwll it take you to get to the other end? I would REALLY appreciate help!! Please explain! Thanks SOO much :D

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

can you convert your airport walking speed, 200 meter per 2.5 minutes. into meters/second?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

hint: 2.5 minutes = 2.5 minutes x 60 seconds/minute = 2.5 x 60 seconds

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

@nat, are you still here?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

when you have the airport walking speed in [m/s] you need to use t use speed=distance/time account for both speeds (walking speed, and the speed of the walkway)

I'm still here! :D
