I should know this but dont. I need to find the height of a parallelogram with area given as 28 and base as 7. Help please? I also have to right the formula for it (e.g. h=????)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remember area = long*short*sin(angle between them) and height = short*sin(angle between them) |dw:1383114070191:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

28 = 7*side*sin(a) h = side*sin(a) good so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

set this equation, 28 = 7*side*sin(a), equal to side*sin(a)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then substitute it into the height equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hint, your answer will be between 3 and 7 ^_^

wow! thank you. I have so much trouble with algebra. I can never remember any formulas. Its keeping me from graduating. Thank you kindly for your help :-)
