-3R1 + R2: 3x - 5y = 17 0 = -55 No Solutions.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
3x - 5y = 17 --- times '-3' 9x - 15y = -4 -9x + 15y = -51 9x - 15y = -4 now add them to each other.... -9x + 15y = -51 9x - 15y = -4 --------------- 0x + 0y = -55 0= -55 but zero can't eqaul -55, so therefore, NO SOLUTION!!!!
