- What is the internal conflict of "The Harry Potter"

The main source of conflict in the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is that between the good wizards and the dark wizards. Most notably there's Voldemort seeking the sorceror's stone, and Harry and the others fight to stop him.

1 The Philosopher's Stone, a Stone created by famous alchemist Nicolas Flamel, is able to produce the Elixir of Life, one of the known means of immortality.In book one, Voldemort tires to find it and live forever.
2 The chamber of secrets, where Harry, Ron and Hermione and professor lockhart (which turned out to be a complete phony) discovered the hidden passage in a girl's bathroom. There they explored the chambers and Harry finds Tom Riddle (voldemort) after the disappearance of ginny weasly (Ron's sister). Ginny is pretty much put under a spell and then harry destroys voldemort's little book (Tom Riddles diary... Err.. Journal.) And voldemort is held off for a while.
3 The prisoner of Askaban; (my favorite because we meet Sirius Black) however, Sirius black, a huge criminal, escapes from Askaban, searching for, well... Ron's rat. Which turns out to be Peter Pettigrew, the man who betrayed Harry's parents. Harry and Hermione save buckbeak from death. Sirius disguised himself as a wolf and we also met professor Lupin at this time, who turned out to be a warewolf. Once the full moon shone Lupin turned into a warewolf, and basically Sirius attacked him (sorta) and Harry chased them through the woods. They pretty much just ran through the forest and ended up at a lake, where Harry actually used a powerful spell (the patronus charm) to chase the dementors off his own body.. It's long and complex as to why. Basically earlier Harry & Hermione went back in time and they ended up there.
4 The goblet of fire; people of the correct age enter their names into the goblet of fire. At the cerimony, the goblet will spit out one name from each house. The plot twists when it spits out Harry's name, and Harry 1 isn't old enough to enter his name and 2 never entered his name in the first place. So, Harry continues on with completing the games and long story short Harry and Cedric (Edward from twilight) end up together with the trophy which turns out to be a port hole of some sort, where Cedric is killed by voldemort (well technically Peter pettigrew) and they make voldemort strong again. Peter cuts off his hand, uses Harry's blood, and voldemorts body and a few other things to rebirth voldemort. This is where he becomes powerful again.
5 Order of the pheonix; A replacement headmaster, Delores Umbridge, tries to change the school. She makes up ridiculous rules and its pretty much just miserable for everyone. Later, Harry joins Dumbledor's army and voldemort forms his own little group of people. Where Bellatrix kills Sirius black ;c However at the ending Voldemort and Dumbledore have a duel which ends in a stalemate, Voldemort attempts to possess Harry but is repelled by Harry's love for his friends and Sirius, Voldemort disappears, Fudge is forced to admit Voldemort has returned, Umbridge is suspended, Dumbledore returns as Headmaster, Dumbledore tells Harry he distanced himself from him all year hoping it would lessen the risk that Voldemort would use their connection, Harry comes to terms with the prophecy that he or Voldemort will kill the other and when going home for the summer tells his friends they have something Voldemort doesn't: love, something worth fighting for.
6 Harry Potter and the half-blood prince; Harry receives a used Potions textbook that once belonged to someone named “The Half-Blood Prince.” Spells and amendments are written in the margins of the book, and Harry uses the Prince’s notes to excel at Potions. Dumbledore schedules regular meetings with Harry in which they use Dumbledore’s pensieve to look at memories of those who have had direct contact with Voldemort. Dumbledore believes that if Harry can learn enough about Voldemort’s history, it will help him when they finally fight face to face, as the prophecy concerning Harry foretells. Harry learns about Voldemort’s family, including his grandfather Marvolo, his uncle Morfin, and his mother Merope, who cast a love spell on a Muggle and was abandoned by him when it wore off. Voldemort was left at an orphanage and grew to be an unpleasant and aggressive boy. Harry also learns that Voldemort has divided his soul into seven Horcruxes. Two of these, Tom Riddle’s diary and Marvolo’s ring, have already been destroyed. One resides in Voldemort, one resides in a snake, one is Merope’s locket, and the other two are suspected to be hidden in objects belonging to Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Gryffindor. Harry uses his Marauder’s Map to keep track of Draco, but often cannot find him on the map. Eventually, Harry realizes that when Draco is not on the map, he is using the Room of Requirement on the seventh floor of Hogwarts, which transforms into whatever its user needs. Harry tries his best to get in to see what Draco is up to, but until he knows exactly what Draco is using the room for, he cannot gain access. Eventually Harry and Dumbledore leave Hogwarts together to fetch and destroy Merope’s locket, thus making Voldemort one step closer to mortal. They must overcome a variety of traps and challenges before reaching the basin where the locket is hidden under a poisonous potion. Dumbledore drinks the potion and Harry fights off Voldemort’s Inferi. They take the locket and return to Hogwarts as quickly as possible. Dumbledore is quite weak, and Draco Malfoy sprints into the room, threatening Dumbledore’s life. Weak and with his wand out of reach, Dumbledore stalls Draco, telling him that he is not a killer and that the Order of the Phoenix could protect him and his mother from Voldemort. Draco lowers his wand, and Snape pushes into the tower. Harry cannot move or speak, but he hears members of the Order fighting Death Eaters below. Snape raises his wand and kills Dumbledore, sending him flying over the edge of the tower. When Dumbledore dies, his spell on Harry is broken, and Harry rushes after Snape, determined to avenge the death of his friend and headmaster. Snape escapes, and Harry is devastated. He looks at the locket he and Dumbledore retrieved and realizes that it is not a Horcrux. Inside the locket is a note from someone named “R. A. B.” Harry tells his friends he will not be returning to Hogwarts next year and will instead search out and kill Voldemort by destroying all of the Horcruxes. Ron and Hermione vow to join him.
7. Harry potter and the deathly hallows; after Dumbledore's death, voldemort gains more power. and takes over the wizarding world. he takes over the ministry of magic and scares off the people who are against him. He also seeks for the deathly hallows: three powerful magical objects that could make any wizard/witch the master of death. first is the resurrection stone, second is the cloak of invisibility and last the elder wand. voldemort steals the elder wand from Dumbledore's grave but cannot seem to find the cloak of invisibility or the resurrection stone. Meanwhile harry is mourning over Dumbledore's death , but finally decides to avenge his death by killing voldemort, the most powerful dark wizard. before Dumbledore's death , he teaches harry about the Horcruxes -the objects witch contain the seven souls of the one who-must-not-be-named- harry begins in search of the objects with the help of his best friends, Ron and Hermione. Harry finds most of the Horcruxes and destroys them, but there is only one left, nagini- voldemort's snake- harry returns to Hogwarts and voldemort follows him , and a war is to begin. The bad and good side start to fight while Ron and Hermione fight the deadly snake, Nagnini. voldemort asks for harry to meet him at the forbidden forest and he will spare his friends. harry accept it so his friends could live. voldemort kills harry , then harry becomes in a state between life and death. Dumbledore appears at platform 9 and 3/4, king cross station. and explains that voldemort used his blood to regain his power , and so harry is a Horcrux . harry returns to the living and fights the dark lord. Neville long bottom kills nagini and voldemort is over. harry cast a spell on voldemort and he is now one of the dead.

I would say that the internal conflict would be if Harry can keep going with all of the danger he is contently in.

The external conflict would be man vs man because he's always fighting someone in any over the movies, I don't know about the books sorry.
