can any one help my laptop screen has turned black,everything was working fine.suddenly this has happened ,any help appreciated. all icons are visible.
Your screen went black, but you can still see the icons? What icons? What operating system are you running? Did this happen suddenly? What happened right before it? The more information I can have, the better.
my computer icons.
I am trying to understand whether you mean the icons that are generally visible on the desktop, or whether you mean the lights on the side of your laptop. Also, how long ago did this happen?
generally visible on the desktop
since 1 week.
@LiamMeron
Are you using a Windows OS?
It sounds like your background photo may have simply changed, do you know how to change it?
this is the actual situation.
properties then change the screen to architecture ,even then the problem is not solved.
Okay, yes, it looks like the background photo may have simply changed. Find a picture you like, either online or on your computer. If the photo is on your computer, right click on it and click the "Set as desktop background" button If it is a photo online, you may have to download it first, this can be done by right-clicking on the photo and clicking the "Save photo as" button. Once you download it, navigate in File Explorer to the photo and follow the directions from above. Let me know if this doesn't work.
sorry ,it didn't help.
can u tell me what is the actual problem ?
this problem is since 1 week.
Okay, there are several things it could be. A few quick Google searches turned up a few things. My first thought was that due to a bug or other error, the image that HAD been your background had gotten corrupted or erased. That doesn't appear to be it. Now the most common problem on Google, is people with non-genuine or pirated versions of Windows 7 having a black background. This is a feature of Window's that is build in. Here is a possible reason for it, that should be VERY easy to check. Open the Control Panel. Click on Ease of Access. Click on Ease of Access Center. Find the link marked "Make the computer easier to see". Find the button/link marked "Make things on screen easier to see" and unmark the "Remove Background Images", if it is checked. Again, the buttons to click are in order: Control Panel --> Ease of access --> Ease of access center --> Make the computer easy to see --> at the end of the page "Make things on the screen easier to see" and unmark the "Remove background images (where available)". Another possible solution, is that the Windows "Theme" folder became corrupt. This *should* be able to be remedied via the method suggested by "Ann Marie Scrimshaw" here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-desktop/desktop-background-stuck-on-black-screen-in-win-7/ea08b8cc-f4e2-48e6-a4f3-badb75302b95 These may or may not solve it, due to the complex nature of a computer OS, there can be many causes for a single error. Let me know if it works.

i am very happy,i just love this website
@CGGURUMANJUNATH If changing the "Background Visibility" setting fixed it, then it seems likely that either you or a program that was installed managed to turn that setting on.
ok.thx.
