why machine language is only converted into binary language

The computer only recognises two states, on and off. Both states have to exist for a computer to operate, and binary is the smallest number system that it can operate with :) While we tend to use the numbering system called 'base 10', you may be surprised to know there are many more types of numbering systems than binary and base10. In fact, some previous civilizations have even used systems that have 3000 different representations of numbers!
