Multimedia Presentation


In Lesson 3, you generated ideas for a multimedia presentation. This presentation will combine print and
non‐print “artifacts” to convey and support your thesis on the topic you selected in Lesson 3. For this
project, you will select 5–6 non‐print artifacts (images or audio or video clips) and explain how each
supports your thesis.

Your multimedia presentation will have five main components:

1. Title—Give your presentation a title.

2. Introduction—State your thesis and give an overview of how you will prove your point.
3. The artifacts—5–6 non‐print artifacts (images or audio or video clips) accompanied by one paragraph
each explaining how the artifact supports the thesis.
4. Conclusion—Restate your thesis and wrap up your presentation.
5. A properly formatted reference list including references for all non‐print artifacts as well as any other
sources you consulted in composing your presentation. Use the “Research Papers and Essays: Formatting
and Citing Sources” to assist you in referencing your sources.

You may compose this presentation in any software that allows you to combine print with non‐print
elements. PowerPoint would be a great choice for this project, but word‐processing software like
Microsoft Word can work well, too.

The rough draft of your presentation will include at least three of your artifacts, considering you have
only read 17 chapters of the novel at this point. Your teacher will provide feedback on those artifacts.
You are expected to apply that feedback to the artifacts you include in your final draft
