Sentence 1: Kelly knew David had asked another girl to prom but *who* would David ask besides her? Sentence 2: He picked up the wallet off the ground, it had to belong to someone, but whom it belonged to he did not know. Sentence 3: The presidents speech had a huge affect on the youth of America. Sentence 4: The effect of the earthquake left the town devastated. Sentence 5: Jack likes to ski, to swim and to jump.
President's*
thanks TONS hun , and hot name btw :)
Thanks haha just remember that 'who' can only be used when it is the subject of a verb and whom is NEVER the subject. "You sat by whom all night?" (In this example, whom is not the subject of any verb. You is the subject of to sit.)
For sentence sentence 1 you can actually just say "Who are you going to the party with?" It makes it more obvious that you're using it as a subject.
Oh okay , i understand it better now (: thanks <3
Anytime :)
