OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

I HAVE CHROME/FIREFOX/OPERA ,BUT I NEED THIS BECAUSE CERTAIN WEBLINKS OPEN ONLY IN IE.SO.

OpenStudy (liammeron):

Does this happen every time you start it up, or just on certain sites?

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

@LiamMeron

OpenStudy (liammeron):

First, try and upgrade it. That can be done by following these instructions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/how-can-i-tell-if-my-computer-is-up-to-date It may require a few reboot cycles to fully update and install everything.

OpenStudy (liammeron):

Also, before doing that, make sure you do this: In the left pane of Windows Update, click Change settings. Then, under Microsoft Update, select the "Give me updates for Microsoft products and check for new optional Microsoft software when I update Windows" check box

Look, I hate to be a kill-joy, but this site is really not the place to be asking your technical support questions. This site is meant to be a place for students to be able to help each other with their respective school issues. It gets difficult to help other student's with their problems when one has to filter through off-topic threads. There are a number of sites that are geared towards community tech support, but this isn't one. Since I have already started answering this problem, I'll see it through, but please do not continue to post tech support questions here. I'm sure you have all the best intentions, but this just isn't the place. Here is a list of good free tech support sites that you can get help from: http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/best-free-technical-support-sites.htm

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

kill joy ?

OpenStudy (liammeron):

An English phrase to describe a person who spoils the pleasure of others. Just saying I'm not *trying* to sound harsh, but this type of question just shouldn't be posted here. According to OpenStudy's Code of Conduct it is considered "Spam" and is according to their Terms of Service, grounds enough to ban. Just so you know.

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just try not too 'kill joy' :P But in all seriousness, if your not on windows 8 you should be able to uninstall internet explorer, then re-install it. I had this problem recently. But also check the internet options, sometimes you might have weird settings you accidentally activated. And finally check all your add-ons for malware or just crazy things which are messing your computer up.

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

Just try not too 'kill joy' :P ??

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

i am just asking for help that's all !
