What are the basic facts that Booker T. Washington and Theodore Roosevelt can agree on about imperialism in 1890-1920s?

This is a pretty hard question since Washington was completely against imperialism while Teddy was the absolute opposite. But I guess you can say that both would agree that in order to have a strong navy, a nation must have ports and colonies throughout the world where their fleet could anchor safely. These colonies and foreign ports would also benefit the home nation with trade. A nation containing colonies would be an empire, and even though Washington was against war I'm sure he would have to agree with this.
