plzzzzz help me ASAP Melissa is 61 inches tall. She writes an equation to find her husband's height, h. h - 61 = 9 Which operation solves the equation for h? add 61 to both sides subtract 61 from both sides divide both sides by 61 multiply both sides by 61

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Another stupid problem! Why would a wife come up with an equation for her husband's height. Why doesn't she just measure him?!? Duh! We want to isolate the h on the left of the equation to solve it, right? So, we need to get rid of the - 61 on the left. What do we need to do to both sides of the equation to make that -61 go away?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

h - 61 + 61 = 9 + 61 That'll make the - 61 go away.
