OpenStudy (ddcamp):

Let's look at what each of the transformations does: ½f(x) → f(x) is squished vertically f(x-1) → f(x) is shifted 1 to the right What happens if we take the point (3,2), shift it to the right 1 unit, and cut the y value in half?

(2,1)?

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

Close, but we shift to the right, not the left, so it would be (4,1) I know it's weird that f(x-1) shifts it in the positive direction, but that's what happens.
