Between -2 and -4 (the x coordinates) how much distance is that? Between -3 and 4 (the y coordinates) how much distance is that? Note that the angle between these lines will be 90degrees so the line that will make the shortest path between the coordinates is a straight line that you can solve with pythogarean theorem.
