Can I please get some ideas/opinions from someone on this? It is for my Honors English class.
It's kind of a weird thing to have to write about in English, considering it is a Global Studies issue.

Not really. They kind of just randomly threw this assignment at us.
I've already taken Global Studies but that was a year ago so I don't really remember any of this stuff except for a tiny bit of it.

first you need a sponsor.
there are 2 that are officially recognized in this area.
The Ananias Society of the Americas.
And Lobotomy International.
when you've decided which you want to be part of,
you'll need to be certified.
it's different for different folks, but you shouldn't have any trouble.
next you need to get a word randomizer.
include indulgences and carbon credits,
and have it make up phrases for you.
finally, you have to decide where you want to advertise such.
obviously you already have that part figured out.

Yes, that is a satire all right. Indulgences were the sales of forgiveness by the church. Want some real fun, look into the Medici family and their involvement in that.
