if class time is evenly distributed between 47 and 57 minutes, what is the probability that a given class is longer than 51.75 minutes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe you use this: z=x−μ ______ σ μ=Mean σ=standard deviation z= z score

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is Standard Normal Distribution... I can't figure out how to find the graph hight...

OpenStudy (anteater):

I may be wrong on this, but if it is uniformly distributed, would it simply be (57 - 51.75)/(57-47) ?

OpenStudy (anteater):

This may help: http://www.saylor.org/site/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/MA121-3.2.2.pdf

OpenStudy (anteater):

My interpretation would be that by "evenly distributed" they mean "uniform distribution".
